And She Said Boom!

She Said Boom

Our sponsors are amazing, and we’re grateful for their generous support and awesome zombie conversation.

If you are a business owner who would like to present your company to local, national, and international clientele (including a growing legion of zombies and their fans) we wish to offer the following sponsorship cooperation:

BRAINS! (of our Organization): For a one time $200 donation, you will receive a free ticket to our screening.  We will also place your logo prominently on all of our promotional materials, including a link to your website or business listing on our website.  We will promote and personally thank your business in our screening program, and provide you with a personal invitation to the ZSFF Gala, which will follow the screening.

UNDEAD AUCTION: We are currently in need of prizes for our silent auction, as well as items to be given out as door prizes during our screening.  If you wish to contribute support through merchandise or coupons for your services, we will gladly accept them.  You will receive a special thank you in our program and website, as well as a plug for your business at the auction table and during the screening itself.

Sound good?  Have other ideas that may help us promote your business and help the film festival?  Then please don’t hesitate to get in touch!

Greetings filmmakers and lovers of zombie gore!

July 6, 2009

First off, a huge thank you to Jim Taylor for getting this blog and film fest off and running. If I wasn’t working my ass off on the pencils for a comic book these last few weeks I would have helped more but alas, we all can’t work as writers, hanging around in sleazy pubs all day swilling beer over a Mac Book (lucky bastard).

I just wanted to say good luck to all who enter. Think outside the usual parameters for zombie films. A good zombie film may not even need a single zombie in it. Also don’t forget about puppets, porn and animation! As if making a zombie film wasn’t hard enough.

FORMAT UPDATE: Please burn all entries to DVD (NTSC). Please use the highest quality & resolution possible.

Use what you have and what you know.

Prizes

July 3, 2009

Since we’re charging an entry fee, it only seems fair that we offer a cash prize.

So we will. that’s just how we roll.

Call For Submissions

June 19, 2009

Hi there!

If you are on this site, then you have somehow heard about the Zombie Short Film Festival.

Awesome!

The Zombie Short Film Festival is the brain-child of Jim Taylor and Cory Laffin, two dudes who live in Toronto. We are hoping to hold it at the Revue Cinema, on Roncesvalles Avenue, in Toronto. Our target date is Friday, October 30th.

But there can’t be a festival without submissions! And that’s where, we hope, you will come in.

If you are a filmmaker, an aspiring filmmaker, or a friend or loved one to a filmmaker, please tell them about our festival! We are accepting any and all submissions at this point, from any place.

The criteria is as follows:

1) It must be a short film with a maximum running time of 20 minutes.

2) It must involve zombies.

If you are interested in making a submission, have any questions, or wish to volunteer your time and/or services to this noble film festival, please contact us at zombieshortfilmfestival@gmail.com.

You can also follow us on Twitter:

Thanks a lot for coming to zombieshortfilmfestival.com!

Wish us luck!

Jim Taylor
